E30 differential 4.27:1

E30 differential from a ; 1991 318ic 5spd.
ratio=4.27:1 the diff is open (not LSD). New rubber bushing and axle seals,
in good working order (no speed sensor)

NO; 4.27:1 E30, M42 engine
5 speed have a lower ratio, convertible with 5 speed have an even lower ratio. So it is really 4.27:1 It's written on the tag plus I did check it.

For future reference, the 318's use small box diffs, they typically can't handle the M20 torque.
