View Full Version : Messed around at the drag strip

Went to the drag strip with some buddies and ended up running my stock 88 325is. It does have a chip, but I didn't put it in so I don't know what brand it is. Tires are hard ass all seasons at street pressure and rear shocks are wooped. That might actually help because it squats really bad when you stand on it. Everything else is stock.
Ran 4 times with a best of 15.4@89mph.
With some decent tires it should run closer to 15 flat. I was barking 3rd at about half track!

.....for more. I thought it was pretty good as well. For a stocker. The Honda guys kept asking what I did to it......lol. I'll be putting exhaust and a drop in K&N filter on it this coming week. That and some stickier street tires might get me into the 14's. That'd be cool. All of the average Honda guys are running 15's and 16's with there headers, "cold air intake", chip, and exhaust. Sucks to be them..... :D Some of the late model stock Mustang GTs were also running 15's, but that was because of the driver, not the car.
