I just heard on the radio about the 3 day racing event at mosport this year. You'll get to see some sweet cars racing around the full circuit if anyone is interested in going. I've been to this event before in the past, and in some places you can get right up to the track as the cars go by. There are no safety walls to block your vision like at the Molson Indy. Things may be different than when i last went 2 years ago, but let's hope not.

correct me if I'm wrong, cuz I'm still fairly new to this, but I believe its the HP. in the GT classes you see Porsches, Saleen's M3's.. etc.

touring is mostly civic's, teg's, protege's n lotsa bimmers, mostly 328's.

Gamite you're correct. The touring class showcases many of our contemporary compacts : Integras, Proteges, Civics, 328's, Preludes, 626's, and many more. Not heavily modified. But enough that you'd be able to appreciate. Best part is, you can easily relate to these cars since we seem them day in day out on the streets.

GT class is made up of many Mustangs, Vettes, Camaros, 1 or 2 E46 M3's, (can't remember if there are any E36 M3's still running?!!), S4's (damn fast!!), NSX (Cunningham - one of my faves), 911's, Vipers etc..... Also, excellent racing.

Best part about these series is the difference in all the cars. Some have better acceleration in the straights. Some have better brakes, and others like the NSX just love the twisties. I watch it on Speedvision every chance I get. Very exciting racing.

I just might make the drive out to Mosport. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Rico

Yeah, there still are some M3's in the GT class, they're doing quite well.

I'd make the trip.. who's gonna organize this?

aww man, the GT vipers, nsx's, porsche, etc were the best cars to watch when i went a few years ago to mosport.
i believe the nsx's owned that race because they could take the hairpins turns without braking hardly at all.

i think i'm still gonna go though
i believe my father might come as well, he loves this stuff too

Hey if anywone is going to Mosport this weekend give me a PM. I live in Oshawa so it's only 20 min away. I'v also heard that theres a show and shine being held at Le Scratch. Thats also in Oshawa. Its starting around 12pm and i'm not to sure when it's ending but i thought i might roll by anyway. Oh ya thats on the sunday. Again give me a PM and we'll talk.

P.S.- I had a great time at Bimmer 02 meet this weekend, it was my very first time going to one of these things. I was driving the yellow bmw with a big huge BMW STYLE decal on the windshild. Later!
