E39 M5 engine, some crazy body work reminiscent of a McLaren prepped 320, and a chassis from an ex-DTM car

from R3v

****in Crazy if u ask me. I can definitely looks past the hi-Liter colour

Bill Chalkis ( a privateer) is doing this. It's been in the works for about a year and a half but with a little luck Bill will be back at Mosport in summer 05 with the E39 powered E30.

Looks aside, you can't tell me that car holds the ideal 50/50 weight distribution with a V8 up front. Kind of grenades one of the E30's strongest asset of a light, well balanced car.

Why not i'm sure it's pretty much 50/50 with that BIG ASS WING :D You think it's for aerodynamics there ? Hell no it's to balance that big and heavy V8 in the front :D

Anyway, I belive i can fly style.... And what's up with this green acid paint?

So what? I don't think your car looks good, exept the paint that car doesn't look bad. It has function and its a track car that has a purpose. I am sure people who build have some background in engeneering and kept the 50/50 percent weight ratio as its very important to a FR track car. Its not hard to knock some pounds of the front to get that kind of weight ratio. Just like M3NTALM3's car its not a daily driver its a track car, so don't bash it because you think it doesn't look good. I don't like M3NTALM3's car, but i understand its a showcar and i won't bash it. This car does well something it was desinged for, which is track driving.

It blows my mind how much can be fit inside the engine bay of e30's. Otherwise, it's a really brutal looking car.

I though that engine swap was nuts in the Hartge Z4 5.0! But the yellow paint on that E30 makes it look really bad.

*th-up* - for the swap.
*thmbsdwn* - for that highliter yellow paint.
