I asked the autobody to debadge my car, and they forgot..anyways, i made someone debadge my other car, but thinkoing of doing it myself on this one. Anyone know good ways or solutions to use? I know dental floss is a start and???

I too was battling with myself whether to debadge my car or not and decided not to do it

i think your 325Ci looks alright, but if you want to do it, here's the site: Debadging your car (http://www.e46fanatics.com/howto/howtodetail.php?howto_id=1)

for some reason, I can't seem to find that 3M adhesive remover that is used in the site......

Rob, debadging a car doesn't mean i want it to look like an M3...since when did M3"s come without badges? I wanna do it because personaly i think it looks clean. Thanks azn330i

GOO GONE works great for removing that black crap left over....

I think its the same stuff as the 3m adheasive remove you guys were talking about

I used a little goo gone but I had better luck with a product from PPG. Look for it at a paint shop (automotive that is).

Also, make sure you've got lots of dental floss......

When ever I buy an m3.. Im gonna debadge it and put a nice 325 or 318 badge on it.

I also heard shoe Goo remover also works.. But I dunno exactly.

Thats why I keep telling MTRD to put his 318 badge back on. Its funnier when you see that 318 in your face! haha.

I de-badged mine... all it took was the dental floss and a bit a wax to buff out. 5 minutes max it should take ya.

Yeah, i used 1 string of dental floss and a blow dryer. I heated the emblem up, and then took the dental floss and swped betweent he letters. After they're off, there is some black rubber gunk leftover which i just used my finger to take off. VERY easy.:)

Another thing is that people will say "oh, it'sdebaged ,so it must be a 318"...

It makes it more clean because you don't have a long chrome letters flashing at you, or you could say it looks more even. If my badge says 325is on it and I got a M engine in it or a 3.5L lump I don't want a 325 badge on it

Ah, no big deal, I just don't care what others think and if they are in to bimmers they would get a good idea as to whats under the hood by the exhust note.
