After a short search i found a bmw i liked, initially i was going to pick up an E36 (325), but after looking at a bunch in my budget none really filled my standards so i decided to go the cheaper route and pick up an E30. E30s are gangsta cars hahaha as far as i am concerned at least. I picked mine up today and have a few questions.

What are good places for getting quality parts for E30s at reasonable prices? I need to change my brake pads front and back, also need a few other minor parts.

And as far as aftermarket goes, where can i pick up front lips, grilles, etc?

Enough with the questions...here is my gangasta E30 :)

This is the look i am going after, i'd like to know a few things...

What kind of a front lip is on this e30, what kind of rims, and the grille, is that an aftermarket one, or just a stock one with the chrome pieces painted black???

First thing you need to achieve that look is an ugly biotch sitting on your hood, after that you need a rieger front lip (www.amimotorsport.com), thirdly, you can black out your kidney grills yourself, just search around.. there's DIY write ups everywhere.

Looks pretty decent, but why didnt u opt for the iS? IMO ur gonna be kicking urself in the butt in the long run. Anyways, definitely pick up an iS lip in the mean time until u get ur hands on the reiger.

Besides the diff and seats, which aren't exactly hard to find, I don't see any benefits to having an 'iS.

DAMN YOU! I called the guy on Sunday and it was sold!

I'm 99% sure you bought the car that's listed for $4500 w/170,000 km on autotrader.. Too lazy to look up the link tho....

You forgot spoiler.
Plus, why buy an i and have to spend money on the seats/diff, instead of just getting the iS and working on that. The price difference usually isnt THAT great

I think the rear looks better without the spoiler (maybe it's just me). If you're going to mention that, might as well talk about the leather, OBC, sunroof, premium sound, etc.

All just pointless weight. :D

see all the things ONE NEEDS and WANTS! Plus it sounds better when u say, "I got a 325iS as opposed just i ". LOL
O, and i think 90% of e30's w/out a lip or a decent looking spoiler in the back, look bare, and lacking. That could be though b/c both my bimmers came with the lip spoiler(my fave style of spoilers EVER). heck i even got my dad's Volvo a spoiler....Looks much better :D
