Proper Clutch Pedal Freeplay E36?

Anyone know what's the proper clutch pedal freeplay should be?

Also...anyone know if it's difficult to adjust it?

anyone with a relatively new clutch or car, tell me approx how far from fully depressed before it starts catching?

when i put in my clutch stop, i raised it by about 1'1/4 inchs... and maybe another half inch on top of that.... hope that helps...
