i'll get pics ASAP on an E36...but it's the same consept as the E30..it goes on the hood with silicone (i dont like the original idea of drilling the hood *no-no* )

Ha ha! Thanks man, in some cases when the parts are unpainded they look better then the flat black finish of plastic parts. The mold releas i use makes the parts very smooth and shiny....

If you have a black car you can just put on without paint!!!

I want I want!
I'm doing a similar mod to my e36 in the spring time anyway... I've had similar eyelids before.. (notice how the angel eyes look in my sig)? ... I want that mean peering look back. How difficult would it to be mold this bad boy (no pun intended) to my hood?

Body shop can do it with no problems, but i dont like (and suggest) molding because you always have the risk of cracking...then you need new paint job! Plus, if you dont mold it, you can take it off whenever you want, you are not stuck with it forever!

awe.. doesn't dip deep enough into the headlights for me... looking for a little more aggression in it.. (like the original eyebrows I had which made my angel-eyes look like they're peering).

In either case... looks good... color match it to the car, and take out the wrap around eyelids and it'll look good.

so you just silicone this piece to the bottom edge of the hood and it stays on? Do you just position it, slap on some silicone, close the hood and wait for it to cure? The gap between the piece and the hood looks to big on the ends in that last picture for silicone to hold it.

i think it'd look better if it was molded

I'm sure there is more then one way of doing it....but thats how i did it on my E30 and it worked great! As long as you use good silicone (the one for windshields) it will be very strong. The original for the E30 (might be the same for E36) was designed to be bolted to the hood, but i see 2 problems with that; A: I dont want to drill the underside of my hood due to rust issues, and B: on E30's its much harder to drill on a hood that opens the wrong way!!!

fil, i have a suggestion, instead of having one piece badboy, what about two pieces, it would be similar to the regular eyebrows, but its angled towards the grill. What do you think?
