You take the amount of fuel used, divide that by distance travelled, then times 100 and you'll get L/100kms

(L/kms)*100 = L/100kms

For comparison, 8.5L/100kms is about right for your average midsized, family sedan.

I dont know the best, but my all time worst was 49L that was gone for under 250Km!!! So 19.6L/100 on a 4cyl, thats very bad!!! The engine blew up after that...

Engines have a tendency of blowing up, or falling apart on you, eh?

Your comp is lying to you...

With the information you posted, your fuel economy for that trip is 8.36L/100kms.

You got a 1.8t or the V6?

my best 550km on a 60l tank

700kms for a 60L tank would be around 8.5L/100kms (27mpg). It would be possible for a 6 cylinder to get close to that if you cruise control at 110-120km/h. 8.5L/100kms would be easy for a 318, but you are probably avg 140-160km/h to get that bad economy out of it.

You are getting 10.9L/100kms (21mpg)

It started with Spudnation last year, then I had to come back to Scarborough, then I had to head up to Uxbridge and back. It was almost all 80-100km/h cruising.

I think what he means is if you're engine is the BMW 6 cylinder version it's Inline-6, not V6.
