Hey man, I'm not sure if you want to just fix it up with something close to stock but I'm pretty sure that the OEM part is just rediculous $$. My cat was plugged on my E30 325i and I needed a new exhaust so I heard about a guy names Andy Heemskerk in Dunville area. He does custom stainless exhaust work with a 10 year warranty and he MADE me a cat for $175 installed, which has passed emmissions since. Check it out, the guy is great. Just look up Heemskerks auto.

http://www.hottexhaust.com is another option. They are in your area. I got cats for my e39 540 from them, $60USD each (I needed two) for carsound high flow, which are Magnaflow without the polished case. Shultz are also magnaflow.
(actually magnaflow are actually carsound. carsound is the manufactuer.)
