Corrado's are inadmissable from the states the bumper support and seat belts do not meet Canadian Standards. The only way to get it removed from the list is to have Volkswagen Canada write a letter saying it can be made to pass (this would then make all Corrados admissable). However they will not do this do to liability limitations. I know more then 10 people that have tried to bring one in to the country legally and were not able to do so including us. The only way to bring one over is to re-vin the entire car therefore making it non-legit. This one is probably just had the SLC package put on it later and been rebadged (typically that's what we see)

Its completley legit. I'm not big up on VW's so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it is actually one or not, he just told me I think....? I will double check. Do they have special badges? First owner was really rich so he may have got it over here legally

There is no way to get it over here legit period! I am just saying it is most likely not a US car that's all.

Here is a link to one guys problems.

I am not trying to hinder the sale I am trying to help it. People tend to be warry of US cars. This is most likely a Canadian car. It looks like it is in excellent shape and by what you describe is very well taken care of. You might want to suggest to your buddy to list it on www.vwvortex.com he might have more luck over there. Corrado's are rare enough good luck with your sale.
