Hey guys. Just thought I'd let everyone know that I saw an ad right now for a show on Discovery tonight. From the looks of it, it's all about the new 6 from BMW and it's a documentary about the making of the car from design to production. Anyway, it starts in a few mins ha ha (8 pm). I'll be watching.

very intersting show(s). I liked it...makes you appreciate how much effort goes into making a BM. I wonder if the engineers would get pissed off if you showed them your souped up rides with all the parts you changed out that they worked so hard on.

Watching 3 hours of that crap makes me wanna shoot myself. What a bunch of homo's on the design team! NO WONDER bmw's are now falling short of Mercedes/Crysler and even Japan.

The only part I enjoyed was the few shots they did of the previous (superior) 635csi's

BMW needs to return to their formula of: Hard cut body lines, simple yet well designed interiors, form follows function, and above all the performance and drivetrain that earned them their name in the auto industry.

Makes me sad to see all that hard work flop because of a few miss guided designers.

My 2 cents.

I like how they went through all that work for 10mm more rear headroom. They could have just left it, but cared enough to make it work. And how the computer simulate everything.

I thought the testing in the extreme climates was impressive.

How'd they manage to keep the AC running through death valley? I think I missed how they managed to do it. Normally, cars will always overheat. They have some advanced radiator/cooling system?

I remember one time I was in California few years ago, it was 125 degrees F outside (according to the thermo in the car)- we were driving a rented Toyota Corolla, 3 people in it, and A/C on- we floored it up this mountain pass for at least 20-30 minutes (I forget the name, but it had a sign to turn off A/C and numerous water tanks for radiators on the way up), and the temp needle didn't budge.
