I have to replace the alternator in my 92 325is, any suggestions on where to go? Is this a DIY repair? If so where to get kit? Looking for a good place to get it done.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I just did it on my M5. There is a place across the road from Chuck's that only does alternators, do amazing work. Delta Auto Electric. You can look them up on Yellowpages but if you know where Chuck's is, go to his door, turn around, and the place is across the road, on the left, right on the corner.

Thanks. I called Delta Electric and they wanted $250 to rebuild mine. I was hoping to find somewhere cheaper, since I can get new one for ~$325. Anyone no of any other places to try?

That's weird. They normally charge 150 for a basic re-work. They also estimated 150 for me but it ended up being 220 because it was quite messed up and the only thing left original is the casing.
