Not many imports mind you, but if you like cars, you'll enjoy the show I'm sure.

Lots-and-lots of Hot Rods, Classics, and perfectly original stock cars.
Many cars are just absolutely stunning. We're talking about hundreds of cars - this is a BIG show!!!!

It is held at the GM HQ - take the 401 East, exit at Harmony Road in Oshawa, go south on Farewell Street, and turn left at the first set of lights, then follow the signs.

Like I said, it's this coming Sunday all day long...!

Take your camera:)

*...The finale is Sunday's grand show and shine at the General Motors of Canada headquarters at 1908 Colonel Sam Drive. Organizers expect 1,500 to 1,700 cars from all over Canada and the United States to take part in the show, which kicks off at 10 a.m.

Awards will be handed out at 4 p.m. A total of 16 shuttle buses will be available to take auto enthusiasts from Park Road and Wentworth Street to the show.

Admission is $12, with children under 12 free.

As for the show and shine, it's open to "anyone with an old car" to take part in, but with one stipulation, said Mr. Kalynko. Only 1974 and older models can be showcased. Autofest began in 1993 when the Regional Municipality of Durham asked the Motor City Car Club to host a one-time car show to celebrate the region's 20th anniversary.

"We consented and we've just been doing it every year since," said Mr. Kalynko. "We've gone from 400 cars in the first year to probably 1,600 this year."

Also during Autofest, keep your eyes peeled for Big Ben, a double-decker English-style bus, which will be parked at venues throughout the weekend. Guess how many gold plated pennies cover the bus and win $500 worth of loonies. Each guess is $2 and raises money for the Regent Theatre Renewal Project...*
