IMO more than 150,000 km is a lot
but depends on the year of make too

as I posted in the first thread......
blackbook value allows for 30,000 km per year before the value of the vehicle depreciates.

I think maintenance has alot to do with it.

i just bought a car with 95,000 km's ..its like new.
it ALL depends on how it was taken care of. If you are going to buy a used bmw...you NEED service records.
I ran a carfax, had it inspected by bmw cost me $300 but they found some stuff I took back to the dealer and re-nagged the price.
I personally wouldn't touch any car with 200,000km , 150 is pushing it.

i can show u a car with 60 000 that is a POS, and i can show u a car with 300 000 that drives mint

If buddy has service records for the past 5 years it's probably mint but if none and has no clue about anything wrong don't even bother with it.
Pays alot with our cars to have them inspected by a real wrench before purchase, if seller rejects the option it's becuasue they know a major repair is needed
My 2 cents

Sorry should have mentioned my last one spontaniously combusted over something I thought was nothing, turned out frame was rotting from inside out by a leaky master cylinder. Collapesed with my driving. "I'm an idiot jump alot and stuff" and well evemtually frame collapsed and cut most of the wirimg and made the fire.
Point being visualy you couldn't tell that my car was done even after I re-wired it but it ended up being a luxury car with no luxuries and a frame that was just patched together. If I was evil could sell it to some sap but content to use it as a bush buggy instead and purchased it's replacement.
MOST PEOPLE ARE EVIL!!!!
