I have finally replaced my daily driver/winter car today! It is a '73 BMW 2002 with 56,000 original miles. The car is in the shop for the saftey and I should have it Thursday or Friday. My mechanic is hooking me up with some awesome prices for parts so I couldn't say no. :) Here are some quick pics I took yesterday and don't worry about the rust spots they are going to be fixed with metal work (no sense of getting a classic and ruining it with bondo).

If that's the original paint!? I'm extremelt impressed. Afterall, we are talking about the car that coined the phrase - sports sedan! Wow. Nice car. Honest.

So when are you dropping a turbo in it? hahaha.

Keep it looking original.

Oh I plan on keeping it close to original as possible. I think a set of wheels and lower it 1.5" (easy to put back the original wheels and ride hight).

This car is owned by Lee (organizer of Bimmernights @ F1 weekend in Montreal). I don't mind those wheels. Anyone know what they are?

I havent seen too many 2002's in that condition for sale, i've usually seen them almost half dead, or stripped down.
