Hey there, new to the forum, heck, new to the euro world too.

Came from the "H" world, then moved to the domestic world, and now and moving into the monstrous power of an 85 318i! <snicker>

Well, I'm waiting for the car to be certed, just getting the brakes done, the steering box, and the blower motor rebuilt.

Anything I should watch out for? Picked up the new bimmer mag which has an E30 buyers guide in it, but yet to read it.

I'm planning a motor swap soon enough...but have to find a shop that's good first.

325 motor going in or, if money permits, an M3 engine.

Unsure, and looking for info to help make the decision.

Thanks!

Hey, I'm decent with cars, and am not intimidated by the thought about trying it myself, however I have a 1 car garage, a wife that doesn't really enjoy me taking alot of time in my hobby while leaving her with my 1year old son! :P

I read something regarding the engine mounts in a bimmer this old can be troublesome and require some reinforcement...
