How do you guys remove your carpet on your e30?

Especially the center console underneath the AC seems it can only be cut(much eaiser)

Anybody seen a write up/pictures on this process somewhere on the net?

Thanks

Later when you put it back the replacement on, did you need/require any glue etc once it was cut?

No cause the console covers it all and it does not show...

Better that than 3 days work:D

Yea I guess that's what I will do since I can't afford to have an idle car(my only transportation to work)

So one more thing, on drivers side, are there any surprizes, clips etc that I need to be aware of or just the visible stuff.

No ..it is fairly simple ....Maybe get your carpet all cleaned and dry before putting it in and also .....you will be taking both front seats out , so you may want to repaint the rails on them so it is nice with no rust.

Yea, my carpet is fairly clean(although it is tan color) and I will clean it myself but I am also thinking of dying the roof to black while everything is off from the car without any worries of dripping.

you dont need to take the dash or glove box out....the area around the heater box is HORIBBLE....easiest way is to cut around it, like someone else said....it will be covered by the center console anyways...
