View Full Version : 2004 330 CI (M3 Package) Competting In ImportFest (Need Help)

07-19-2004, 11:00 AM
I need more suggestions on what I can do to win ImportFest.. right now... I have my back seats pulled out and have a custom system installed there.. 2 12's Kaption.. 450 Watt Clarion Amp for the subs.. And I also have another Kaption Amp for my speakers.. so it sounds nice..

Im lookin into Lambo Doors right now..
Also, what do u think.. Airbag suspension or Airbag Hydrolics?
Also neon lights under my dash board.. and sheet metal platings instead of da rubber floor mats.. and thats bout it so far..

Plz let me know if I can add anythin else.. or if this will be enough to win..

Thanks, Drein

Suspension should be coilovers set to the lowest setting. KW's or FK's
Wheels should be HRE 19"x10"rears with 265/30's at the min. unless you are doing fender flairs.
AA supercharger on the motor!
Titanium Exhaust
Door's are  but you need an aftermarket kit to go with them. Nothing OEM.

IMHO "Also neon lights under my dash board.. and sheet metal platings instead of da rubber floor mats.. and thats bout it so far.. " That is played out and not much euro style.

getting the lambo style doors are a huge deal

people that do it properly ship their cars to Hamann to get it done (in Germany) i dont even think wheelpower does it

there is one guy on e46fanatics that did that

All Erics suggestions are great, but they are very common (at least on e46fanatics)

i think HRE are kinda played out, get Work wheels

if you want to be different, get the TEIN suspension the one that is computer controlled from the inside.. hardly anyoine has TEIN susp on a m3

how much do you want to spend?

Well I already got this place in Montreal.. called Street Force (www.streetforce.ca).. They have a new type of lambo doors.. No bolts and Autolock bullshit.. Its robotic controlled.. and has a seperate battery charger for it.. cuz the door takes 3 seconds to open and that takes up 21 amps... Plus when driving it takes up power.. so.. im getting the quote anytime now.. and they offered to bring my car on a truck also.. so ya.

How bout putting on the M3 symbol on the back and take off the 330 CI symbol... and add on the m3 side grills.. OR would that be looked down upon?

Yes Golden you are right but have you seen anybody in the Toronto/GTA area with all those mods on anything less than a M3?
Fanatics have too much $$$ to burn.

Volk TE37's are *th-up* but only fit on M3's....

Tein susp. sounds good though.

Since you are doing doors, how about a custom color change too.

Angel Eyes
Xenon fogs to match the headlights 6000K bulbs all around.

*thmbsdwn* *thmbsdwn* *thmbsdwn*

But it's up to you, it's your car.

And how about for the competition.. Would my car be considered for the M class since I have the M3 package or would it be put in with the 3 series class?

Although you do have a M-Tech OEM kit and some other goodies. You are in no way a true M car!

Even if you put in the ACS 540 motor transplant and the most $$$ suspension setup. It still wouldn't be a M *no-no*

Ok yeah so I would be looked down upon... So thats outta the question... ook coo thx

I wouldn't put the M sysmbol on the back of a 330CI. They might call you a ricer man. Some of the guys have a ASA charger and still be proud to have a 330CI.

07-20-2004, 12:16 AM
^^^ that is true, mostly just ricers & wheat burners, but I remember 1 year when BC Auto & Design brought out their widebody E36, it was sick

Euro-rice division...???

add NOS stickers, all around... JDM hood spoiler... dual exhausts, one on each side sticking out 6 inches... that's about it.

I'm just kidding, don't even think about that.

07-20-2004, 11:39 AM
Umm I dunno bout stickers.. Looks kinda tacky.. And not too Good on a bimma..

07-20-2004, 12:33 PM

how much do you want to spend?

if you're cometing in ontario, you dont have to do much to win. there wont be that many BMWs there. if you were cometing in LA, thats a different story.
just get some nice wheels, like DPE, or WORK, a clean body kit, maybe a RD sport, SC if you can afford it, and that should be plenty
