I drove mine from toronto to cleveland every weekend for 1 year. I have driven to chicago a few times. I drove to Minniapolis once. The longest that I've driven was down here. Toronto to west palm beach. ~2500 km's. Not a problem with the car ever.

I think I can win this one. When I lived in Victoria, I took a trip all around North America. From BC to Cape Breton Island, back through the States to California, and then back home. 17,500km in 6 weeks. Beat that!
Oh ya, my car gave no problems whatsoever. Ran like a champ!
As you can imagine there are lots of stories as well. From driving through the grassy median at 90km/h in St.Loius to avoid getting hit, to a top speed run in Saskatchewan, to playing around with an Audi A4 from New York in Maine.

^^^damn thats a long trip, my longest in the e30 was 2500km, mostly at 130km/h +, and absolutly no problems what so ever....in fact when I got back the car was running better than it ever had, probably due to the carbon build up being burnt away.:)

I'm leaving on Friday AM.
Driving straight through (gf and I do 4hr shifts)

and i'm also headed to P.E.I. aswell*th-up*

won't be in a E30 yet...nothing I've seen has been good yet...gonna pursue the hunt for my 325 when I get back.

In the meantime I'll be cruising in a Maxima or MX6 for now..(intrim car untill the E30 is found)

My Longest trip that I drove was from Ottawa to Halifax straight through in a lowered 91 CRX. ( that was tough)

From Toronto to SC is the longest for this car, 20 hours each way.

i've drove mine and many other E30's from Toronto to Hallifax (22 hours) never had a problem yet.. just do a good check up and service before you go. and if you have any problems... Montreal is about the last place you can get bmw service down on the way east. LOL

i'm going on a road trip at te end of august. going form trois-riviere ( between mtl and Quebec) to nova-scotia. and maybe up to Prince Edward island ( yes i gonna take the 13km bridge woohoo)

i'm not afraid of my car, i'll do a nice tune up first! it's better for a car to run for hour on the road than hour in the city!
my car got 264 000km and the engine run like a new.. the only thing and dont like.. are my new Kuhmo 712.. all that road will melt them

just look over everything first and carry the basic stuff, some tools, a cell phone (wont be much help depending where you are at) coolant, belts and hoses. i dont think you will have anu troubles. I drive my E30 all over and has never let me down once. bring your bentley manual and change your fuel pump relay and main relay. they are cheap parts and these will stop you in your tracks if these go out. also dont forget some cds.

I'm going on a roadtrip from Kingston, ON to Halifax Nova Scotia.
I'ts about 1500 KMs there. I'm estimating gas will be about 100 bucks in my eta there and 100 back, and 100 driving around.. so 300 bucks and I'll put about 3500 Km on it.

My 325e has 415,000 KM CRAZY Eh? Still going strong.. burns 1 litre of oil every 3000 KM.

Well this is my first post. Hey everyone.

For the guys coming to Halifax, welcome to my hometown. YOu should check out;
www.customobsessions.com

before you come. Maybe we can hook up. I'm in the process of looking at a E30 in New York so if I get it, that will be the longest trip for me.:D

I posted pics of the car in the BMW section on the site I posted above.

Well enjoy your trip.*th-up*

Well there are thousands of beaches, golf courses:D

Well you should come next week. The tallships are coming and it is Natal Day (birthdate of Halifax).

There's a lot of Tourist sites like the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, And Provincial Parks. There's White water jet boat tours in Stewiacke (this is crazy fun).

I don't really know what you're into so I don't know what you're looking for. Nova Scotia is big though. I get a kick out of the tourist that come for the day and plan to walk around Nova Scotia or drive from one end to the other and stop places along the way.

Definately hit up Halifax though. It's the hub and you can always find something to do there.
