Are the mounts the same on the E36 2.8 and 2.5 as the mounts in the E30's???

No... the mounts aren't even close. If you want to do a swap, use the stock M50 arms and drop the motor into the E30 using an E34 passenger rubber mount and an E28 driver side rubber mount to hold the M50 motor in place.... simple as that, no cutting or welding necessary. Good luck.

Randy, dont you need to relocate the mounting points at the subframe? I remember Charlie had to do some drilling to fit the mounts on...

hmmm. not that I know of Filip. I dropped my motor right in place with the cherry picker by using the mounts I listed above. No drilling, welding or cutting.... just praying.:D

this was done on Bmpower's car, but i guess its because he used
6 series rubber mounts....

Randy doesn't the put the engine on an angle?? Then your tranny won't line up nicely and screw up your shifter.

The tranny just gets shifted to the right about 10 degrees.. not too noticeable...
