Ok, I degreased my engine bay this afternoon, and now my car sounds like it is running on 5 cylinders. I have done this many times before, and nothing has ever happened. I am very careful to cover everything up. I don't know what the heck happened!!! Also, it sounds like there is something rattling around in the catalitic converter? sheesh what did I do!
It kinda sounds like there is something blocking the exhaust? And if that I cleared that out it would run fine?
Any ideas at all!!??
Is it possible that something got wet and when it dries up in the morning all will be good?

Ok that was weird....I just went out for a drive. Everything seems perfectly normal now. I guess I did something wrong when I cleaned the engine. hmmm. Oh well. Live and Learn

You most likely got water in the distributer cap, or in one of the spark plug holes.

Water evaporates.. and the problem is gone.

Ya that's what I figured, thanks man. I guess I wasn't quite careful enough!

yep, e30 engines don't like water too much...electrical connections and such, are not well sealed. But as Jordan said...it clears up.:)
