Hello ha!

Would like to be informed with some of the 1/4 times people have been able to pull off..

I find that BMW either has really good gearing, or the power specs are underrated?

Friend has a 323 manual, Ive seen them rated as low as 15flat, with only 170hp?
Anyone break high 14s stock?

How about 330 autos and manual? 1/4?

Also older 240hp M3 autos and 540autos....

I have an ALTIMA 3.5 v6 5spd auto, so I would like to know if I would get sliced.... Nissan seems to overrate their HP....

well with a 3.5 you are NOT taking a 540, that will eat you alive, you should have a 330, m3 i doubt thats happenin

I've hit 14.7 with only an exhaust, fan delete mod, and a 3.15LSD in my 328is. Appearently it's not too hard to break into the high 14's with a 328, I just suck at launching.

15 flat with a 323?
Maybe if all conditions were ideal; it's possible, but unlikely.

Realistically, a 330ci manual is about 15 sec. flat, stock, with an average driver. Seen this twice with two different 330ci's.
I'm sure with an experienced driver, and someone not afraid to beat they're car senseless off the line and powershifting, could tweak out a mid 14. An auto should be about .3 to .5 secs behind a properly driven manual.

E46 M3's realistically pull mid 13's, stock, with an average driver.
There has been the odd case of people breaking the 12's with these cars with an experienced driver, and additional traction such as drag radials.

Never seen a 540i or a E36 M3 manuals run the quarter, but they should be good for a high 14, average. Manuals tend to loose about .3 to .5 on the quarter to a manual.

Saw a 3.5 Altima Auto run the quarter several times also, best being a 15.3. Nissan's Automatics shift slooowwwww. You could see the car slowing down when it was shifting.....
I'm fairly certain a manual should be in the high 14's.

you are right, 3.5 Altima are not going to a 540, I had a run in with a 3.5 on the 407, he didn't have a chance, even when I gave it a little head start I caught up & pass him with ease

As expected, especially at highway speeds.
V8 torque will win every time.....:)

Using the same scale of magazine-to-real-life in your other predictions, these should really be low 14's. Both have been pegged at 14.0 repeatedly in multiple mags. :)

Looks like he said manual to me. You can't blame me if it was a typo.

Road & Track clocked a 5.4 0-60 and 14.0 1/4 back in February 1994 in a comparo against the C36.
