Just curious how much would a proper paintjob cost in Ontario? I am willing to sacrifice my car for a couple weeks. Early spring 2005 I want it stripped and colour changed I am hoping to spend 4-5k but fear it is gonna run me 6-7k plus taxes. Anyone have experience or suggestions where to go?

Do as much of the stripping yourself (where possible), get it painted and then put as much back together as you can, the less time they spend on it the cheaper it would be. And its not hard work, just time consuming, and when you pay for it it adds up!

Thanks, hey I'm also getting a bodykti for it at the end of this summer, I was leaning towards gaugeco's, I see you offer a couple for e30's, do you have any pics?

Chances are i can do better prices then gaugeco, and the quality (of what i have seen from them) does not even come close to mine. Tell me what style you want and i can get it.

Back to his question, how much would a paint job like that cost? I am thinking of re-painting my car (same color) too.

You get what you pay for.

you pay 4 grand? you get a 4 grand paint job, you pay 5 you get a 5 grand paint job, you pay 6 you get a 6 grand paint job. Some people spend ridicilous amounts of money on their paintjob but when the time comes it shows what they spent on it. Don't rush it, not everyone knows how to paint good, I've seen alooooooooot of screwed up paint jobs just because they cheaped out and went to a cheaper place.

Thats the way it is on paint/bodywork...Since time is money and the more time you spend on it the better it looks...The cost of materials is neglegable, most goes to labour....
