Great pictures! For once the weather is nice and sunny, since the previous events took place in the rain (which I don't mind either).

Too bad I couldn't show up :D

No pics of me! Heh, I was in the E30 325is, red. My first auto-x ever, and I ran two 59.7 runs in a row. Clipped 2 cones on both though. My best was a clean 1:02.4. I'm damn happy. :)

I'm assuming you were the green Legacy on Volks? You looked great out there, and if I remember correctly you had some excellent times.

Nice pics etam. Thanks for taking, and posting them!

It’s me in my ‘ti in pics 1506-1509, and in 1619-1621. Most of these turned-out really well. I guess if you are the slowest one on the track, you’re easier to photograph… only my second autoX.

Definitely the Miata, which is bone stock I believe. Empowerd drove it and he's really quick in that car.

The white MR2? Hm, whenever i go to the Auto-x'es I can keep up with him in my Volvo wagon. Our times are very close and sometimes I even beat him :D

Oh and the white Echo hatchback is dam fast around the tight low speed course; it's bone stock too.

The Miata isn't stock this year, Eric threw on some springs/shocks and 17" wheels. He and Randy drove it this event.

The white MR2 was taking it easy all the time, I can understand how you would keep up with him Mike. I was surprised, when I first heard that BOV I thought he was serious. :D

cars got nothing to do at the autox, it he driver, if randy was driving a Yugo he would still beat the mr2 driver

Yeah, I guess for our chapter that's true. There literally are no straights. I only needed 2nd gear twice per run, really.

Oh cool, I was basing it on what I saw from last year on the Miata's setup.

Damn you just ruined my day by saying the MR2 was taking it easy :P Well his WRX buddy at least has to try when I saw him driving, I can at least keep up with him too :D I saw the MR2 guy at Shannonville a few weekends ago, he had a unfortunate mishap and spun out. I think one of his wheels just fell right off or probably it happened after spinning out, hopefully his car is alright now!

His car looked fine yesterday, can't say I noticed anything out of the ordinary. I didn't mean to ruin it for ya man, but he barely even squeeled the tires on a lot of the course. Maybe it IS damaged, I dunno. The WRX only made a run or two before leaving, and this was after he mounted the R-compounds in the parking lot. Strange.

You guys all need to come out to the next one, I was disappointed to see so few maX guys out. Mike, Nelson, Kevin, all MIA. July 18th, be there. :)

Yeah, I had to 'work' yesterday, and I'll be missing the next one also, which sucks. I'll hopefully be back in full force in August.

I'm sure you also have to be a member of the BMWCC, around $58 for a year.

M3ti, you have to pay for the yearly membership too, so basically $75 for this first one and $15 for each one after that. I had to do it this way also.

Etam, yeah, you looked really strong out there. I could see the AWD causing a bit of understeer in the really tight stuff, but otherwise the car looked solid. On both 59.7 runs I made I clipped 2 cones, I need to work on my lines.
