Does anyone have an IPOD installed in their BMW? Check this site out. Apple and BMW has a partnership which will allow IPOD be controlled by the controls in your steering wheel.

Is it worth it to take the car to the dealership and have this adapter installed?
Is there any shops in Toronto that can do the same?

It's only for 2002+ BMW's and i'm sure any BMW dealership can install it for you, my guess is anywhere around 125 - 200 bucks willl get u the adapter and what not (not including the iPod itself)

Great news... not! I have a 2001 X5 and a 2nd gen 20gb iPod. Both are not compatible! You need a 2002+ X5 and a 3rd gen iPod to work with the adapter. Oh yes, the adapter is U149 and BMW will charge another U149 to install.
Think I'll wait for another option. :(
