A differently geared differential (or transmission) will not increase your horsepower/torque.

What car do you have?

You have a 3.15 already correct ? Then look for 3.38 (hard to find) or 3.91 (might be a bit too high), or get a custom one, LSD of course.

yes, but I need one from the e30/e28 series, The e36 ones are not compatible.

3.23 LS is available
3.25 LS (according to chromius_e30)/non-LS
3.45 non-LS
3.46 ? (z3 3.0 auto)
3.73 LS/non-LS (e30)
4.10 LS/non-LS (e30)

3.23 from the 5spd 97 M3 will also do good because you wont kill your top end as much but will have a bit more low end pick up..

i want more power out of the hole. my first to gears r shit. i want a diff that has more low end but still keeping my top end. how much would a diff cost.

If you want to keep your high end, then definately don't get too high of a ratio. That 3,23 sounds good from the M3

i went to lakeside today....they have an e28 5er that they are parting...he's not sure if it has and LSD or not...never the less give them a call.
