If the price isn't too far off, get Yokohama AVS ES100's instead.

my bro in his turbo e30 is riding kumho's... i think they ride nice... not too sure what the specs of the tire is tho... i got yokohama a520 (215/40/16) and i love em... they hold like a SOB... also yokohama parada spec-2 would be good as well...

I put on a set of Kumho 712's 235 / 40 / 17's on my 328 a few years ago. For the money....it's hard to go wrong. This will be my 3rd summer on them and I just started noticing reduced performance...even though there's probably at least 50% tread left. I want to try out the new Yoko ES100's next. Check out Tirerack.com and read through some of the feedback people have written up. Sort through the guys who claim to drive a little on the 'spirited' side and who drive performance oriented cars. There's a lot of research to do when it's time to buy tires I think. Unless you want to go out there and drop big coin.

Good luck,
Rico

Stay away from the 711 or 712 series, you honestly can't get much worse.

As Nelson posted, ES100's are great for the money. RE750's are even better but cost a bit more.
