Remember me posting about my transmission slipping a while ago? we got that fix by changing the transmission filter and shit. Three days ago I started the car in the morning again and heard a wierd buzzing noise in the car. I had to get to school so I decided to check it out when I get home. Its about 12:30 and I decided to go home for the day. I'm driving down 14th, not even pushing it when my gear slip into neutral. I kept rolling as far as I could and stopped just after the intersection on 14th and Markham rd. My dad came to help via bycicle:D the explorer was in the shop that day for maintenance.
Now when the tow truck driver came. The dude was such a dick. After loading the car on the tow truck the he sped down 14th and into my subdivision. I was behind trying to keep with the thing. As he was speeding down the res streets he speeds over a ****ing speed bump. sends my rear end of the car up in the air and my front end scrapes the ground. I was just riding and just spazzing. being like wtf:mad:
My question is... is it worth replacing the transmission and spending about $2500 to fix? or shall I just part the car out? mind you I only 145 xxx kms on my E30.

A shop is gonna rape u with the labour charges man.....Worst case find a used tranny and use that for now, but who knows how long it will last........for a rebuild ur lookin at over a grand for sure, plus labour charges.

Look for an old manual e, and use the parts......there are a few things u might need but that will get u started

Felix would do it, and I bet Charlie would too. Both a lot cheaper than shops.
