Never seen this concept before (never cared to before..)...

Is that how you get that ill fitted looking rubber? Stretch to fit the rim? How's that work exactly? Looks bloody cool when on, but I can't help but wonder about the performance or safety of it...
Or is it just looks?

How is the ride quality with streched tires? Shouldn't it be more rough along with the unsafeness?

qimis
08-01-2004, 10:13 AM
i'm pretty surprised too ... the ride is soooo smooth
i dont know is it because of the tires / stretched tires ?

handling becomes lighter too

only in this country (US/Canada) have this big thing about function following form, we have the worst roads in the world, and we have to worry how good our cars will handle, by putting 295's on our 9" wide wheel

O BTW: that tire can def pop off if he takes any turn more then 25 MPH *uzi*

Hahaha I did the exact same thing when I put on my GC's, I had them about 1" from what I thought was the top, but turned out to be the bottom. I had a 65 series tire completely in the fender well, had to drive it like that for about 5 days. Bottoming out city. :D

Not liking the super stretched look.

If you have 9.5" of rim, USE IT!!!

A 235/40 would still look a little stretched on that but still be functional!!
