I launched a spark plug right out of my head a few nights ago. Damn FORD! I need a new head preferrably on both sides.

I'm going to run a pattern into the dealership and lay out the mechanics. I'm very pissed at the little things that are going wrong. There is talk of getting rid of it at the moment, we'll see. For now, warranty better cover the $1000 per cylinder head. Arghhhhhhh

moe.. it's all that oil going into your engine from the valve covers :)

damn that sucks.. you would think they would build the engine a little better if it's going to be supercharged from the factory!

Pfffttt to all you Ford Haters....:moon:

Moe, considering how hard you've driven that truck, it's not abnormal that something went.
How many hard runs have you done? Any import would've been long gone by now.

Last Friday I went to Cayuga, and was talking to a guy who had a high 12 sec Turbo setup 4 banger which he just spent a small fortune on. He just completed it a few days ago, had a good setup. Slicks up front, striped interior VW Corrado. 4th run down the track, he left half of his engine at the 1/8 marker......
3 other ricers got towed out of there that night. Had to shut down early cuz the lanes were a mess. Damn Ricers……

Seize the moment, and revive that Beast of yours more powerful than ever!!!!!
To tell you the truth, I would find it fascinating to see that truck of yours show my Z it's purty tail-lights at Cayuga......*th-up*

I'm getting a new head from Ford right now. I'm going to clean the motor up, fix all the dents/chips, and start over.

4LB pulley
E-Fan
T/B
Exhaust
Ported Blower
Chip
Intake

I want to see a 12.0 by August:)

i wouldnt really say any import Tony. kinda a biased sounding comment...i doubt randys porsche will be doing that, and that all domestics are bulletproof.

^^Thanks man, I appreciate it. Ford is giving me an entirely new head that has been revised with better clearances.

Note: This has nothing to do with the fact that I drive spiritedly. It happens to around 50% of 5.4l triton motors.

Dan, tell Michelle I want to race that truck. It has been a fantasy of mine for a long while:)

The spark plugs make themselves loose because there are only 4 defective threads holding them in place. The new head has 8 threads with closer tolerances.
