If I keep my car I want to spend 2g's on making my car faster and handle better...what should I do? Just keep in mind I will have to pay for the labour cause I definitly can't do it myself...

Upgrade your suspension. Get some coilovers*th-up*
I don't think it will make your car faster, but it will handle alot better

Just looking at your sig... if that was my car... I would change the wheels to something more attractive. Dropping the suspension a bit would be good too.

dont bother with power, its a waste of money

nothing short of forced induction will help you.

get coilovers, your car is sitting way too high for your wheels

get FKs, they are well priced, and get clears all around..

so for 2000 I can't get anything for power that would be worth it or is it you guys thinkl dropping it is the most bang for buck?

save the 2000...wait till you get around 6000 and supercharge that bitch.

or if u dont care about that, why not get the coilovers and slam your car?

Well those chrome rims look heavy as hell so your best bet is to get an intake, chip, exhaust(around 1400$ total) and then getting some H&R sport or race springs and bilstein yellow shocks(around 600-800$).

Put in a GIC or a mutual fund and forget about it... !

Make your car lighter: (tires/rims will brake your budget):
> Get sticky and light tires, like Toyo T1S (21lbs each).
> Lighter rims (anything 17 - 21 lbs each) will also help.
> Remove full spare tire from the trunk (50 lbs).... depends how determined you are at making your car faster.

1a) The obvious route/advise is the one you already heard on E46Fanatics:

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=153643&page=1&pp=20&highlight=Technik

A combination of at least 2 or 3 things together: SHARK Injector engine software + CAI + lighter pulleys + rear differential + exhaust

Individually the above items will not give you much but in a combination of at least 2 or 3 of them, 10-15 hp..... pulleys and differential will give you the most bang for performance initially. If you do all of the above items (5), you should see / experience noticeable improvement.

1b) Technic different stages power kits (scroll to the bottom):
http://www.renn-sport.net/BMW/bmw_engine.htm

It seems that Rennsport is not mailing the cable needed to download software (search E46fanatics for more details)

2) DINAN Software & CAI route (expensive)
http://www.dinancars.ca/newlook/index1.html

3) UPSolute chip

4) CHIPS / Software options
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=147664&highlight=Technik

"Technik - They send you a cable. You download your software with a laptop and email it to them. They email you back custom software. You upload.

Shark - You get a little box. Plug it in and upload new software. It downloads your old software. Switch at will.

Dinan - Programmed by dealer. Provides horsepower increase for 323 and 328 but not for 330.

Superchips - Claims to have the highest performance gain. Very few people here have it though. Must be installed by Superchips vender.

That's American though, he's in Canada you'd be surprised how much we pay for shocks...some places you'll pay up to $300 a shock...$400 to get a chip, exhaust alone from front to back will run $2 Large...
