I saw some custom made engine brackets and mounts specilly made for the 3.5 swap.
Are you certian it is not a 3.3 since it cam from a 733i?
And yes many bimmer engiines fit in there.
You can even put in a V* with minor moding to the strut towers

I wwwill get back to you with those brackets. PM me if you are interested

If it is an engine from an 733i then that means it is the M30 3.2/3.5 engine with exact displacement of 3.3 L and ~186hp. Strong engines they are...

M30's really are not worth the trouble to swap into a e30. The 3.3 doesnt have that much more power, and it is quite some bit heavier. M30's used to be a popular swap, but now that M50/S50 varients are so readily available, and cheap... those are a much better option.

The only thing M30's are good for is boost. They are very well suited to making gobs of power when turbo'ed.

I'm sure someone does... but premade headers are normally made to fit within the engine compartment that the engine is supposed to be in. For example... it is unlikely that headers made for a 735 M30 would fit in a e30, they would likely hit the firewall, side of the engine bay, the subframe etc.

I understand thanks. Burnsstainless.com is an awesome company that will doa custom header mandrel bent and equal lenght, but you have to fabricate it.

He's a good guy with a stupid-fast E30. I don't think he meant any insult, maybe he's just agreeing with you.

Calm down.

that was a funny reply r3v, that m30 swap sounds great but doesn't it produce fare good torque (which is always good for rubber burning) rather than hp. I think dinan made a FI system for the M30...
