well today i finally rented a hoist, the cruise is comin up soon and ive been being lazy about getting the motor in..its a beautiful day and things went great..pulled the old block and had the motor in and mounted in a record 1hr:eek: i couldnt believe how easy it was to get the shaft lined up and get the motor to sit right.i remember johnhubbets 325,three of us wrestled with it for over 2 hrs just to get it to sit*uzi* i just have to hook up the exhaust manifols and cut the firewall hole for the comp plug a little bigger to fit the newer harness though...lookin forward to seeing you all at wasaga!!!

gf was a big help, she wouldnt help out because it was too dirty:rolleyes: so she took a few pics instead..had to do it all myself..
the fan will be converted to an electric after wasaga, and i pulled off the power steering pump and the ac..she should be able to spin pretty freely..and once i get the nos hooked up..that'll be good enough for me..

damn felix that was fast, im pretty sure that must be a record, even if someone could it do faster it would have to be in a shop, no way they can do it on the driveway like u man.

Good job, can't wait to see it.

Impressive. I've just met a poor dude today in downtown who owns an 78 325is with over 300K kms and he was getting his engine replaced with a 150K one at BMW Missisauga for $4500 labour included. I was going to hit the guy in the head for such amount of money for a car like this.

So you are better off.

PS: Felix what did you with the trammy you got from Zimmie?

II felt so bad. I gave him all the contact info's that I had in my car(ie used part dealers, ,mechanics etc.)

And the guy keeps sayin he paid $200 for trunk lock cylinder and etc, I told him just STFU since it made me so sad.

BTW: his car was an 88 325 is. Made a typo there.
