Im going to put a new performance exhaust on my car soon and I want to know what the best one is for a 97 328is. I dont want a loud one but more of a deep sound and of course more performance for my car, i.e faster. Oh and I would order from the states too.

Active Autowerkes for sure..... they have the highest gains and a nice tone... not too loud

The Tubi exhaust sounds like a chainsaw on the E46 M3.

Chainsaw = VERY RASPY = Sounds like $hit

I have a video clip comparing it to an Eisenmann exhaust.

The Eisenmann exhaust sounds MUCH nicer.

From what I've heard, the Active Auto exhaust is raspy, but less raspy than a stock E46 M3.

Dinan also has dyno proven exhaust systems. Only problem is that they use stock BMW exhaust systems and modify them, they also charge more than the competitors. I think Tri-flo may be a little too loud for some people, but it is my favorite exhaust system, can't beat that sound!
