I installed 18x8 with 225/40 and they hit the front strut.

Any idea how much spacers I will need ??

It did not seem to jam too much as I can still turn my wheels ??

I am guessing 5 to 8 mm !!

Also,

Has anyone run with wheels rubbing against other locations besides the strut or fenders ??

Thanks

What did you get?

I talked to my buddy Paul at Delta today and he has a set of 17's that are direct bolt on , no spacers needed... he wanted to unload them too... oh well...

if you hit the front strut, then you would need to see what the offset of the wheel is and then decide from there... if the wheel is an Et 33 or more than you may need a 10 mm spacer.... I think...

it all depends on the most important piece of information you left out!.... the OFFSET. What offset are your wheels? I can tell you right away what size spacer is required. You'll need to end up with a +25mm offset in the end, so if your wheels are ET+40mm.... you'll need a 15mm spacer to acheive the E30 required +25mm (subtract).

Hope this isn't too confusing... read it over again, it'll make sense eventually.

P.S. If your car is lowered, 225/40 tires will rub the outside front fender when turning... even with the proper offset because its too tall for the E30. Maximum 18" tire that will fit under the fender is a 225/35.... I've tried this already on my car.

i've seen 19's on an e30. the car was lowered an inch but i don't know what was done to make them fit, but it was bad ass.

An 8" wide wheel with 225 width tires will rub the driver's rear shock with ET25. You want about 18-22 offset. You'll likely also need to roll the fenders.

I have not yet put the cash down....but they are nice rims and if they fit it will be great. Unfortunately, my car is being worked on at Eurodesign (MtechII intall) and I cannot have access to it easily .

The offset is close to 30 to 35 as per my measurements.

The car is not dropped....and will not be.

The rear fit good no problem, the front barely hits (wheels turned when bolts tight).

Any other spots that could hit besides the strut and fender, what about when the wheel is totally turned to one side ?

Any spacer suppliers.....you recommend ?

Thanks

Wait, are you lowering it at all? A non-lowered E30 on 18's is going to look hilarious. :D

Try www.amimotorsports.com for spacers. Support Canada and maX, they're a sponsor.

la klasic, your car is looking good at Mike's shop (EuroDesign). I was up there picking up parts for my GT2... he's the one that painted it... amazing work. Looking forward to seeing it complete.
