i need some help figuring out what size rims & tires i need to get to fit my 97 328is

i've got the stock sports suspension and i'll be sticking with it for now...what's the optimal wheel and tire size for my ride?

in 17's?? *no-no* how bout 18's??

i want to throw on some 18's but i don't want to sacrifice performance at all

should i get one size all around?

thanks in advance

i put 18"s on my 328iS with 225/40 tires, with H&R race springs. if you're not gonna lower it, yet, 225/40/18 should be no problem. when you up-size the rim and tire combo, you lose some acceleration because the bigger rim/tire combo is heavier, mine are like 45lbs for each rim/tire combo, compared to 35lbs for the stock 16"s. you might be able to put 235/40 in the back if you want them staggered.
