If you are getting rear shock mounts I suggest getting ones from the convertable (way more durable!). Go to the dealer (they are not expensive).

Now the hard part. The rear re-bar will take you like 6 months to find! Contact or go to Unique Auto Collision (1-905-625-4886) in Mississauga. They used re-bar from a Dodge Neon I think to fit my M-Tech rear skirt. But it depends on what you are going to put on (ie: M-Tech kit is shallow and needs a thin re-bar. The Reiger kit is deep and you can use the aluminum bumpers as re-bar.).

Good luck,
Dave

Try Massive Auto Collision (416-533-3884). They made a nice custom bar for my ride. *th-up* Ask for Tony. Tell him Mike sent you.

I was going to get a bar made up for mine but the body shop wouldn't install it due to legal reasons. If you or even if you sell the car and it is in an accident the body shop is responsible for that re-bar. Shure it is cheaper and easy, but in the long run it can be a huge headache!

Just my $0.02,
Dave

The plastic or fiberglass piece under the front/rear skirt that is attached to the bumper shocks and takes the actuall impact in an accident.

BTW it is only on the newer cars with the plastic pumper covers not the aluminum bumpers like my car was.

To put on bodykits. The M-tech kit is a shallow kit and needs the '90 and '91 re-bar. The Reiger kit (like empowerd) is very deep and you can get away with using the old aluminum as re-bar without hunting down or paying $750 through the dealer for the factory '90 and '91 style re-bar.

Get it? Got it? Good! LOL!

I wish I could have used my aluminum bumpers. It would have saved me $$$ and alot of time.

With a pre 88 E30 the rear fender sits higher than 88 & up so you have to build a custom bar or else the kit won't fit properly. Obviously if I had a choice I would have gone with the factory setup instead. Besides I'm NOT planning on selling it anyways. :P

Ah yes! Good eye Mr. M-Tech! I guess you should go your bodyshop and get them to take a look!
