does a chip tear up a 170,000 mile engine? my friend seems to think it does.

I found the chip didn't help untill i replaced various sensors, so unless your up on maintance i wouldn't bother.

best mod for the buck is a bavauto short shift kit, some weight reduction (ie. carbon or fiberglass hood), some ultra lightweight rims, tweak the cam timeing (cams are adjustable)

I found this site to be very helpfull
BP's BMW E30 318is Site (http://www.esatclear.ie/~bpurcell/)
