I had the day off today and got my new AFM in the mail.......I modified my intake and put just the intake on the adaptor without the pipe. The filter was clogged so I cleaned that out and re-oiled it. Then I took the MAF off and the intake elbow and took off the throttle body. I cleaned the throttle body out and re-installed it and put on the new maf air meter and started it up. It idles perfectly, a bit high at about 950rpms so I adjust the ICV and it is idiling steady at about 750rpms which is perfect.

Maybe it was a combo of all the things, but I was glad I got the new AFM.
It used to hunt worse when the engine was cold so I left the car for a couple of hours and came back and still idles perfectly!
Hope this helps if anyone else has experienced the same annoying problem.
