OK first things first one needs to educate himself about the model specs I guess
Read them here:

The model you are looking at is although a 6cycl a bit slower than 325i model.

QUITE a bit slower
eta has good gas mileage, makes a great daily driver. If you want something more fun, get a 325i. Trust me.

Could always shoot for a 318i not bad on gas milage but can't compare to a 325e. The 318 has a revvy engine which you may like since your moving from a Civic. Guessing you were driving a stick so you can get 5-7revs out of the 318 and 5-8revs out of the Civic (I think).

The 325i is well sought after but fairly pricey in the private and public sector.

Just to let you know these cars have a serious problem with rust and will be more exspensive to fix than your Civic so have fun researching and searching for the right car.

Front lip, BBS-style wheels, leather, on-board cpu, sport seats, sunroof, slightly stiffer suspension (it'll be dead by now anyways), rear lip spoiler, ski pass through, 3-spoke steering wheel, leather shift knob, premium sound system (components - good stuff), and maybe a few other small items. Really a lot of stuff when you think about it.

It was part of the stiffer suspension. The difference is tiny anyways.

A QUICK summary
read the URL tho, really well explained there
325e
diving boards, 120 hp 190 trq
rarely fully loaded, rarely with sport seats, etc (nles maybe an ES)
older, cheaper on gas

325i
most likely plastic bumpers 170 hp/170 trq, quite a few with leather etc, much newer, and better looking IMO (88>)
