no he's talking about one on each side and frank. what you got to do is cut out the battery tray in the back for another pipe to fit. your best thing is to go to hot rod scotts and get them to put it in.as for the high flow go to 77 auto any universal one is a high flow*th-up*

I used to want to do that. You can either get and exhaust system that goes back behind the spare wheel holder or you can cut out the spare wheel bit.

It will look out of place, sound like shit, and will lose power (you need some back pressure).

How would it look out of place? it would just look like a 325i. or are you talking about a pipe comming out both sides of the rear?

My impression is that he wants two mufflers, one on each side of the car. If he wants one muffler with dual tips, that a different story.

that would ugly his best bet would be get a complete exhaust system from a 325I. then for sure he will get some pwr out of it.

Ive got dual Exhaust on my e30 325is (on both sides of the spare wheel
I have no idea what it is since i got it with the car. basically whoever put it used osme cheap CanadianTire stuff to hang it up and now they snapped. currently using a coathanger :(
check
http://bmwmontreal.tripod.com
one picture shows it .
basically it splits into two pipes right after the cat and forms a Y arround the spare wheel - then each splits into 2 - in order to have 4 tips :):) - I am thinking i should get rid of it...
A.

Edit:
the rear skirt is cut a little bit to accomodate the passenger side pipes.
also there is no reall muffled on either side - its free flow...
