:rolleyes: :rolleyes: hi everyone i was just wondering if an e36 rear bumper can be modified to fit the rear end of an e30? and if yes what is involved before i start this brain surgery

Jordan Sarette did it (www.r3vlimited.com). It's A LOT of fabrication, don't try it unless you're a pro at bodywork.

The only thing that i saw on that website was putting a newer e30 bumper on an older e30...not an e36 bumper on and e30

There's no articles for it, but he's the owner of that site. Go to the forums and do a search. He mounted an E36 M3 rear bumper.

Well actually I just used the lower half of a e36 M3 bumper, basicly as a apron. It was then cut up and reshaped to fit my car, and in the end bonded to my plastic bumpers. This is definately not a DIY kinda project. This picture shows the rough fitment after it was bonded to the bumper. I have now almost finished the seam and body work to it. It looks alot better now.
