I know it's unlikely that it is, but does anyone know if the cylinder spacing and/or bore is the same on the M5 engine as it is on the M20?

Err, strong doubts about bore because the M5 engine isn't 5l... I don't think it's just stroke.

Guys, he's referring to the E28/E34 engine.

They don't line up properly, a guy recently tried.

Heh, just after I had already put the post in I found the stroke length, bore, and bore spacing. So, yeah, it doesn't work. My plan is to stick with the M20 except do a 2.7 litre conversion and while I'm at it, have it overbored to give me 2.8 litres. I want to N/A tune it to gain the most knowledge of how the engines run.
