How can i get a clear shot of ... for example... a coin... a really good close up. i've tried everything and it comes out superblurry.

when i hold the button down... it tries to catch focus, but just end up blurry.

I have a Canon S400 4.0 MP

use macro setting.

use Manual focus...

Use a tripod. Lock the mirror. Use a cable release. Use a small aperture. Check depth of field before shooting if possible. All of these things should help out.
