Well the next mod is going to be a short shift kit or a MarKD chip (probably do both at the same time)
My shift lever and bushings are shot. There is so much play and transport truck long shifts. I tried putting my Motronix Short shift from my e36 into the e30, but everytime I went into 2nd gear, is would rub again the driveshaft, No good!

I think I have read that the shift lever from the Z3 1.9L is a good upgrade for the e30....????

I guess what I am getting at is should I replace just the lever or go to an UUC Evo short shift kit and is it worth the money?
Thanks guys
Jay

Someone started a thread about this topic two months ago do a search of the site for say short shifter, SS, or UUC. Many people using the E30 tranny have reported some rod breaking multiple times.

Yeah, this sounds like a good idea. I don't know if I will find it used, so I may have to go pick one up from BMW.

well i have been around ;)

i am going to use the z3 lever personally, as it is taller then the z4, and i like taller shifters more comfortable and better posistioning of your body for racing, i rather reach right beside me then reach down. ;)
