In the first time I had in mind my computer did not work...
When I took closer took with light I saw it works. It shows the time-tem-tops speed and some other things...
I really have to take a good look in order to see it .
Now I wanan know is it the bulb? I think bulb went off because in night I can not see anything...How Do I replace the bulb ?

Yeah it;s the Bulb! I had exactly the same problem. It's fairly easy to take the computer apart using watch-repair-type screwdrivers. There are 2 tiny bulbs there... one for button illumination and another for display. Take these bulbs out, go to Canadian Tire and find the same size bulbs... I couldnt find exactly the same bulbs but as long as they are interior bulbs that are in similar in size they will work. Really not a hard job to do at all. good luck. Cheers !

Don't bother with the bulbs - they go again. I used LEDs which were much brighter and pretty easy to install. 3mm LEDs - matched resistor which I taped to the side of the unit. The LEDs fitted into the exsisting mounting.

Hej Ivan,

Yah Canadian tire has those bulbs....the only difference is that the metal contact wires on C.T. bulbs are bent in a different direction than on stock bulbs...and re-bending them is as simple as...well..bending a tiny wire. To be honest with you, I also thought that Canadian Tire bulbs will not last long...but I replaced all my interior bulbs with Canadian Tire bulbs over a year ago and so far they are bright and steady...so no complaints. I think the cheapest bulb now is still much better than the high-end bulb of the 1980s.
PS: just in case you don;t know, the bulb itself does not need to be "bmw" orange. there is a layer of film on that computer that makes it glow orange.

well from what i saw. You take off the black plasticcover that comes over computer......When you take that off you should be able to remove the computer .Disconect it from those wires.... Now is the parts where you have to take lil watch screw driver and take a part compuer ... I guess the rest is plug new bulb....
