it looks like I am getting a set of 18 X 8 rims, my intent is the lower the car on H&R sport and Bilstien shocks....what size tires should I get to minimze the possibily of damaging the rims on the bad GTA streets, but so there is no rubbing

Thanks

225/40/18 should work fine. What's the offset of the rim?

I was told the bolt pattern is 5 x 120....what should the offset be....and how would I check that?

Thanks

I believe the E36 run a 35 to 41 offset. Anything less than 35 could cause rubbing on the rear fender. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
The offset is usually stamped somewhere inside the wheel along with the bolt pattern.
