View Full Version : Need wheels refinished!

Hey Guys,

Where is the best (price and quality/service) place for
refinishing my M3 Replica Wheels ... ??
Clear coat is peeling off and starting to look quite funky

Better if it's in town (GTA) and around $100 each.
Let me know!

Jordan: if you're out there, PM me. *wave*
You were at the meet to Wasaga and helped me with
my tire *th-up*

you should get them chrome polished.... my 2 cents.... will look brand new.
There is a place called Expert Metal and they polish a lot of car rims..... they made my rims look crazy when I first got them.... I think it will cost about 150 flat each rim for the M3 rim you have....I checked before for that wheel.
Here is the phone number 416-745-5474
They will finish your rims in like a day or so.... very fast

how long u had your replica rims for? i have m5 replica and i wonder how long the finish will last

I've had the M3 replicas for almost a year now, but they started
to peel almost right away. I will be getting a $75/wheel contribution from the vendor for the refinishing after they're done, so that's not bad. I'm still looking for a decent local shop
to do them for a good price!
If you want to tell if your replicas are ok, simply take them to
your local self-serve car wash booth, and pressure wash your
rims ... if they're ok, they will NOT peel ;-)
If they're gonna peel, not much you can do about it IMHO.

Rastaman, call Carcone's (http://www.carcone.com/choice_wheelsmags.html) and ask to talk to John in the wheel room. Serves you right for buying shit rims! *no-no*

Gurl_BMW ... sounds like a horror story is behind your comment ;(
Anyone deal with Collision Networks (Stephen Rotenberg) on Doughton Rd in Concord. Quoted me $500 for refinish + re and
re on the tires.

Give WheelFix a call...

They're located out in Uxbridge but will pickup and deliver for free.

Wheelfix wanted more than $600 once they included taxes and re and re. Carcone wants $100 + $20 for re + re PLUS taxes ... so they're up to $550. If I can get a guarantee of workmanship from Stephen, the job is his.

I'm getting my wheels powdercoated black for $35/wheel! White or black is $35/wheel and any custom colour is like $70/wheel. They are acid dipped to clean any paint/crap on them and then powdercoated. Contact empowerd for info!

That's right RONIN... go to Byers Bush Jet Coat in Mississauga (Dixie & Eglington area).... like Dave said, white and black is $35/wheel and any other color under the sun is $70/wheel. Turn around time is approx 1 week. No tax on those prices either, everything is "under the table".... go to the back of the factory and ask for Maria (plant manager).

Does anyone have decent pics of what these powder coated rims would look like after the process? Not sure if they would look good on M3 type wheels ...

Hey Dave,

Sweet looking rims. *th-up*

How long is the finish suppose to last?
I have some older rims with some curb rash, can they fix
that too?

PM empowerd about fixing curb scraped wheels. I know a place but it is near Niagara Falls. The finish is amazing and really strong! Also the cleanning up brake dust only takes soap and water!
