It seems that I have to put the gas pedal to the floor now a days and it still doesn't feel fast enough.
I have never touched it so I am sure it is due. Just wonder does it get so stretched over time that you should replace it or have it tightened???

Tightening it probly the key. I would give directions on tightening it but I don't know if the 325 is any different from 318.

Does it take long??

not to long just turn the locknut at the end of cable near throttle body while the pedal is puch completely to the floor and your done. Don't turn to far though don't want to break cable or anything.
If you have questions resort to your service or repair manual. Every E30 owner should own the BMW 3-Series Service Manual from Bentley Publishers
